Baroque
Highly decorative large-scale furnishings characterize the Baroque style
prevalent in the 18th century. Dark woods, mostly walnut, are heavily
carved into bobbin, spiral, and scroll patterns on chair legs, arms, and
backs.
Dark colored fabrics dominate the upholstery with caning used on more
provincial styles. In today's market, the baroque style is rarely
reproduced due to its vast scale and high production costs.
